  • For this, you need to select the move to inbox option. It allows you to access your voice mail from the new device. The process is simple.
  • Now, you can choose or set the messages you need to see in your inbox.
  • When you are done choosing the buttons, you cannot move them to the inbox very quickly and easily.
  • If you need to exit the message selling process, you can easily do so by clicking the cancel button. 
  • You can now return to the select voice bar appearing on the top of the screen. All the voice mail messages can be accessed once you return to the inbox of your new phone after you complete the new process.

How to move the voice messages from your SD card to your phone?

Saving your voice messages and the recorded calls on your SD card is one of the easiest ways to transfer them when you switch devices. Here are a few steps that you can follow to make the voice mails and the messages visible so that it is easy for you to move them. 

When you switch devices or your phones, you usually cannot track the voice mails on your new phone. But moving them to the SD card before whipping the phone will save you. 

Follow the steps below:

  • The first step is to move all the voice mail messages that you think are important to the SD card in your older device.
  • You might need to download a third-party file explorer app to continue. But that depends on the phone, the operating systems, and the version of your phone, as some supports the SD cards without any issues. You can use the file manager app on your smartphone as well. 
  • You must go to the Internal SD card folder in the file manager. Then pick the Smvvm folder from the list. 
  • You can click on it and copy the folder. Then you need to paste the same into your external SD card folder. 
  • Then, you can remove the external SD card and place it in the new phone. 
  • But if the new smartphone comes with an internal SD card, you will have to take an extra step to transfer the Smvvm folder to the correct location.
  • The application might mention current messages in the SD card, then you can move them here, and they will be temporarily saved. 
  • If you already have an Smvvm folder in your internal SD card, delete the same if you need to accommodate your previous Smvvm folder.
  • You must now paste the correct folder to where you deleted it in the internal SD card.

SMVVM – How to move the messages from inbox to archive?

Some smartphones store messages in the Archive folder. So, you may find the SMVVM folder on your phone in the Archives. It is not on all phones but on some. Note that the Archive folder only allows a limited number of messages. If you get a notification exceeding the limit, you must remove some of the messages and find space for the new messages.

Restoring messages from the Archive to Inbox

It is one of the confusing areas for most users. Below are a few steps that you can follow.  

  • Tap the menu icon in the visual voicemail inbox. 
  • Then tap the archive on the menu that appears, and you will get access to the archives folder.
  • Select the messages you need to archive and hold them down.
  • Then go to the overflow menu, select the move to inbox option, and the job will be done!
  • You can confirm it by accessing the inbox.
